39 Brown Street

The theory test centre in the historic cathedral city of Salisbury is on Brown Street, just to the east of the city centre. Known as the 'City in the Country', Salisbury is amongst the most picturesque locations to sit your driving theory test. With its proximity to Stonehenge and other tourist attractions, you could combine your theory test with a bit of sightseeing.

If you're arriving by train, the centre is around fifteen minutes walk away, down Fisherton Street. There is a bus stop close by on Brown Street too. If you choose to travel here by car, there is a large car park on the opposite side of the road, with 135 spaces, or if that is full there's a slightly smaller one further down Brown Street on the same side as the test centre. Both cost £1.40 per hour.

More than five thousand people took their theory test in Salisbury in the period 2012/2013, with a 60% overall pass rate. More females than males passed, as in the rest of the country (63.9% compared to 56.3% of males).
